I am and will always be grateful and proud of the fact that I am a product of this iconic show that is "MAALAALA MO KAYA" aka "MMK." Hosted by no less than Ms CHARO SANTOS, the show that opened the doors of local showbusiness to this writer just happens to be THE flagship drama program of the Philippines leading multi-media entertainment network, ABS-CBN. It is where most local stars of artistic and commercial significance get the chance to showcase their thespic skills as each and every episode is painstakingly mounted by a talented production team, dedicated it seems to deliver nothing but the best, and most dramatic, of Philippine drama each and every week.
Thus, for any star of note, and for other creatives for that matter (writers, directors, musicians, production designers, etc) to be part of an MMK episode is a privileged opportunity, as one can hardly find a grander and more popular stage to show and deliver one's artistic best - and MMK demands nothing of short it.
This uncompromising spirit of excellence is one reason why "Maalaala Mo Kaya" for a quarter of a decade now, "MMK" is the unchallenged barometer of Philippine television drama.
